Interviewed for state job two weeks ago. Haven’t heard back. Assuming it’s a no, but does anyone have any experience with long waits when interviewing for state employment?
Title.
Interview was two weeks ago. I emailed a week ago reiterating interest. I have yet to hear back. I assume it’s a no, and that’s disappointing, but fine. It’s their job to give to whomever they feel is most qualified. However, I’d love to actually hear the rejection via email, phone call, snail mail, etc. I know many companies won’t even get back to candidates, so I’m not surprised I haven’t heard, but really wish I would because, until I do hear from them, I’m the delusional optimist who has friends who work for the state telling me it could just be taking them longer to reach out. I’d love to believe that, but I don’t at this point. However, like I said, I’m much happier to rest easy knowing I officially don’t have it instead of this quasi/hopeless waiting game I’m doing.
Anyone have experience with interviewing for a state job? If so, how long did it take to hear back (whether you got the job or not)?
