Ice raids in vegas?

Early this morning at the Casita Villas apartments (near Michael Way and Cheyenne), two people I know were picked up by immigration officers. Their phones now track them to a detention center.

One of the men has a wife and two young children in elementary school who are now left at home and very distressed. These were not people with open cases or criminal records, they were simply trying to provide for their families.

A few days ago, I also heard reports of immigration officers at Star Nursery in a parking lot, asking a relative for documentation. At the time, I thought it might have been a rumor or intimidation tactic, but hearing what happened at the apartment complex today, it seems it may have been true.

I’m sharing this to raise awareness in our community. Even though it may not be on the news, it is happening. Please be cautious, stay informed, and look out for one another.
