24 SR5 - Stock Firestone Destination tire upgrade?

I'm going to be honest, I don't offroad and if I do it's to get to an ATV trail or snowmobile trail that's paved or dirt road for the most part. I live in NY and we do get pretty bad winters where I am; I would like to maintain my current MPG for the most part and tire size (17). Do you guys have any good recommendations for something that has similar road noise but is grippier or an upgrade from these? Firestones seem to wear very quickly.
