Rejected visa for Chinese language school, now I want refund
I need advice on a difficult situation with a Chinese language school. Here’s a quick summary of the events:
- I paid for a language course at Xmandarin and planned to start on September 1st.
- When I tried to apply for an X2 visa, I was told I needed an official document, likely a JW202 form, which the school had not provided.
- Because the school failed to provide this document, I was unable to apply for my visa and missed the start date of my course.
- I asked for a refund, but the school said they have a "no refund" policy. They then said they would only refund me if my visa is "rejected again" after a new application for an October start.
- I don't want to re-apply or wait. What are my legal or practical options for getting a full refund now, without going through another visa application?
