The back of my hand gets dry and flakey unless I constantly apply lotion. Can I still work a food service job?

I'm worried I'll have to wash my hands multiple times during a shift and wash off the lotion. My hand will be red and flakey when I make people's food and give it to them and they'll be grossed out. Should I even bother applying to food service jobs? I might have an interview tomorrow
