Did anyone else know this little interesting fact about the first temples built?

So recently we had someone who works for the church come and do a presentation on the history and construction of the temple nearby. It was one built before 1930. I’m not sure if they still do this, but our temple has a “time capsule” within the granite foundation. But that’s not the interesting part. He then told us that it was tradition in the earlier temples to put a lock of Joseph Smiths hair in the time capsule as well……
