What benefits are Realtors getting for paying NAR & MLS dues?

Discussion

The NAR has done a s#!t job for Realtors. Rather than innovate, they let Zillow eat their lunch, caved on the Missouri lawsuit & didn't fight one bit, just created a few loopholes. They sell agents hard work back to them (agents pay for Zip code leads) (Z!llow does the same), but agents still have to pay dues to them.

Dues made a lot more sense when NAR had a monolopy. Monolopies aren't good & changes should have been made, but they still have a kind of limited monolopy on getting paid dues. In today's world the dues to NAR & MLS aren't upholding what they used to. IDK what would be a better system, but I think whereever things end up, it's not going to favor agents. Where do you see the profession going?
