50 - M4F- #DC #MD #VA - Late bloomer seeks the same. And no, that doesn’t mean I’m ugly or bad in bed lol
I have another ad up that is VERY detailed. Please read it as I think you’ll get a very good sense of who I am and who I’m looking for and you’ll see that I’ve evolved into a confident, funny and handsome man. I mean I’ve always been funny but never realized I was fairly good looking.
And just so there’s no misunderstanding, “late bloomer”, does not mean naive. I had my share of relationships prior to getting married, but I have matured into a different person.
So, why this ad? I guess a part of me is looking for someone in a similar boat. Someone who has walked a similar path in life and finds herself wanting to taste that other life she did not get to have. Yes, it’s some FOMO but it’s also a function of knowing myself so much better now.
I got together with my wife fairly young and while the first decade was great, we’ve slowly grown apart. There’s still a lot of love and commitment there but as I’ve matured I’ve come to realize that we were never really all that similar. Or maybe we’ve just grown apart. All I know is that while we may have similar goals in life, we were never on the same page with regard to romance, sexuality and well, the things we like to do for fun.
Over the last decade, as my marriage was challenged by the day to day realities of adulthood, the rosie glasses that I had worn for so many years faded. I began to see that what I once thought was a good marriage was actually missing the kind of affection I so desperately desired.
So I went out and tried to create my own happiness. Looked back and decided I’d sacrificed a lot of myself to be in this relationship. Started living the life I wanted to live. Be the person I wanted to be. Do the things I wanted to do. And accept my sexuality without shame. Because that’s what a lot of my relationship had been. I had been living according to someone else’s rules, and as a result, I’ve sacrificed so many of the things that make me a vibrant person.
Anyway, that’s enough morning rambling. Hope you have a great day!
