Canon EOS Retina software

Tech Help

I have bought a used, 'astro' modded Canon 60D 'Retina', 4 months ago, used for daylight infrared and astrophotography. IIRC it was previously used as a medical device for imaging in infrared.

For the most part it works fine as a standalone camera, but noticed a problem with the .cr2 files. They are not recognised by Photoshop or other adobe products.

There was a work around since Deepskystacker ( Astrophotography program ) still can read the files, so can RawTherapee.

However, I decided to connect the camera to the laptop for integration with NINA ( Another astro program) to operate the camera without using a intervelometer, but the Canon EOS Utility software does not recognise it.

I did ask the previous owner, and they mentioned they just used RawTherapee for editing, but since I want to connect the camera, the overall issue is present more than before.

I have searched all I can on bing, Google or youtube for EOS Retina, which is what the camera was. But I cannot find any relevant information, except the official Canon page and another for the firmware. This camera somehow doesn't exist??? https://eu.medical.canon/products/eye-care/eos_retina

Here is the .cr2 file: https://drive.google.com/drive/folders/1QnNdVa73lQGQQ44iWAKWo6eOAPFOCixj

The Firmware is: 9.1.8.ME

Any help would be greatly appreciated.
