Help me, help him? Struggling with postpartum
I just had a baby 7 months ago. Baby has had colic, dairy allergy, a condition called Torticollis which now seems better but we have to see through til he is 1 year and requiring weekly PT. We have two teenagers ages 13 and 15. I think I am struggling with postpartum anxiety/depression, juggling everything is hard.
I carry most of the mental load and tasks and he says he is trying to “help” with the logistical stuff of course but it’s never been 50/50 and I am reaching my burning out point between working and doing it all, I feel alone. I don’t know what to do or how to get him to see I need help in many ways.
The worst of it for me is dropping off my baby at daycare for 40 hours and getting 10 hours or so Monday - Friday. It breaks my heart but he does not support me quitting my job as he feels it would be a financial setback. And said I would need to do what he wanted sexually (he will deny and say it’s a joke but it’s not) - so I decided to keep working even if I am struggling.
Sorry for the rant, but what can I do to help him see how this is wrong in many ways
