Cpu and gpu pairing

I currently have a 4060 ti and 32gb of ram with an i5-9600k, I've noticed my performance drop recently and was thinking of an upgrade

My motherboard is able to take up to 9th gen, is the i9-9900k worth upgrading to or will it bottleneck with my gpu? And should I potentially upgrade my motherboard?
