I think I helped two women avoid creeps tonight

I just got back home from a friend’s place and something happened on the way that I can’t stop thinking about.

While I was unlocking my gate, I noticed two women (they work in catering at a nearby marriage hall) walking on the main road. Right behind them were two drunk guys. One was an auto driver, the other was on foot following and pestering them, saying they’d “drop them.” The women were clearly uncomfortable.

Luckily, I happened to be wearing my khaki field pants and shoes (the rest of my clothes were soaked from the rain). I yelled out a loud “Oi!” at the guys, and they instantly backed off and took off.

I called an auto for the women and made sure they left safely.

Not posting this to brag just a reminder that when you see something sketchy, step in if you can. Sometimes just showing up is enough to make creeps back off.
