My Mac overheats when playing AOE2 using crossover.

Hi everyone, so yesterday I entered the world of everything that would involve playing Windows games on a Mac. And I ended up deciding to use Crossover because it was literally the only app that let me download AOE2. The thing is, every time I play, the computer's temperature shoots up, as does the battery consumption, and it worries me a lot. Is there a setting for the game or the program that could help me lower resource consumption? My Mac has an M1 Pro chip. Thanks!
