Deferred Sentence for speeding ticket

I got a speeding ticket and asked for a deferred Sentence. I am trying to figure what that means for my insurance. Does that mean it goes on my driving record? Does it mean I plead guilty? I am looking at the form and I am not sure what the results will be for me.
