How do you live your life without a ride from your parents

I never realized how hard it is to live if your parents arent able to take you anywhere. Like assuming only one of your parents drives or cant because of housework/watching the kids, and your other parent CAN drive but because of their work theyre too busy and your schedules dont align, what are you supposed to do?

The obvious answer is to learn to drive myself but WHO is going to take me to the DMV? I need to drive in order to be able to drive. If you have only one parent who drives and he’s gone for days because of his work youre basically screwed unless you fork over tons of money for daily Uber drives.
