Something small but good happened today!

So I went to Starbucks this evening to get some work done. I was parking my car and there was this old man in uniform who was assisting with the parking. Ofcourse it wasn't an official one with slips and all but while I was parking, I just had a very small talk with him, nothing deep, just a normal exchange.

When I got out of the car after parking, he came to me and said "Sir, aapse baat krke bahut accha laga, apka vyavahar bahut accha hai. Waise toh hum 50 rupe lete hain lekin apka jab aao toh jitna mann kre wo de dena". I smiled, thanked him and went inside.

I came back after a while and there was this confectionery shop nearby. I picked some flavored Amul milk for him and while getting into the car, I gave him that. I then reached my pocket and got a 50rs. note and was trying to give it to him but he just kept refusing. But I insisted and finally forcefully handed it over and God! his smile made my evening. He was so happy and thanked me so much.

That's when it hit me how rudely most people behave with those who aren’t as privileged. Like basic kindness is rare. But it shouldn’t be.
