Anybody near Connecticut (or anywhere) ever interested in starting a Dylan cover band?
this is, for a now, simply an interested meter. would be interesting to see if people are interested, or have been interested. if they lost interest and why? what are your thoughts on cover bands in general. what are your experience if you've ever been part of a Dylan cover band before. I made one before, but I was the only one who was really that much into it. I was not sure if my bandmates even liked his songs, I think they just wanted to support me. we did one performance in which I played 5 songs with my guitar, as they did whatever they wanted on drums and banjo in law volume. it was nice having people there with me, but they offered no feed back, even in the rehearsal, so I had no idea what I was doing right or wrong. I am interested in all kinds of idea, wouldn't just want to copy Dylan, but instead take his inspiration and be inventive and experimental. I also like the bare folk approach. what could have taken the band over the edge was if someone knew how to mess with a harmonica or any highly harmonic instrument, or humming, that would be neat.
