How to get movie/tv content

Hi guys! I’ve been wanting to make commentary type of videos. Mostly based on popular tv shows or movies. I’ve been trying to figure out how to get the content on my computer to edit it with. The best I’ve got is a screen recorder. I’m wondering if there are any other content creators that have this niche that have any tips on software or websites to use? Thanks!
