1440p + FSR 3.1 or 1080p Native

I have an RX 6600 XT and I'm looking to buy a new monitor since my old one broke (I'm streaming to my laptop to use it as a screen rn).

So I found this really cheap 1440p 100hz 27inch monitor, it's as cheap as a high refresh-rate 1080p one so I thought it was a pretty good deal, but I'm worried my GPU wouldn't be able to handle it, so what do yall think? should I go for 1440p and rely on upscaling and lowering the quality (low-medium), or should I just stick to a 1080p and play natively on medium to high settings.

I mainly play single-player games, also I'm not looking to upgrade my GPU anytime soon.
