looking to buy a weekend/roadtrip car for the first time in Canada, any advice?

I've bought cars previously, from private sellers and used dealerships, but never since arriving in Canada. I had a great experience with a dealership before, no extra fees, services, great market price, car was in good condition.

I've read some threads, and it seems dealerships here often aren't like that. they want to upsell up on a ton of extra things, ceramic coating or whatever. maybe it's more of an issue with new cars.

I'm looking for a weekend and roadtrip car, as i dont need one for commuting and groceries. it's just me and my wife 2/3 of the time, and more friends 1/3 of the time. so I would like a third row seats even if the seats are small, as our friend group we are all short and we have a few <5ft. and maybe children. like going to a hike with 6 people is something we would have already done today if we had the seats for it.

and when it's just me and my wife, it would be nice to have the ability to lie flat, maybe leave seats in the garage if they are easy to pop in and out or just fold them down, put a bed inside (not a camper conversion, something simple and removable).

I'm thinking Sienna or Honda Odyssey, maybe 4Runner for driving up roads to trailheads for hikes.

i did consider tents that go on top. can't do it. my garage height is 2.0 m

ill pay cash, i have no debt, retirement savings are on track. I have $35k cash i can be without and still have a large emergency fund of 68 months expenses after. I set aside this money for the past year to buy a car. I'm looking to spend $20k$30k, and the remaining $15k-$5k set aside for repairs.

I'm thinking I'll go to a dealership and check in person:
