Formal wedding photoshoot days before or after actual wedding, yay or nay?
Hello everyone, my fiancé and I were thinking of doing the formal bride and groom photos days (no more than 1 month) before or after the actual wedding day. We're thinking about this not only to cut the photography cost, but also to savor the moments on our actual wedding day. There is no panic. If we miss the kiss, we can just shoot another one, and the setting is controlled which is always great because we avoid having to worry about everything else in the background from people to weather. We feel it's more efficient because on the day, everyone wants to talk to and take pictures of the bride/groom and we're competing with that, but this way, we've got shots looking amazing (not sweaty and overwhelmed and tear stained on the day which often happens), and we can spend more time being present with friends and family. We will still have family and friends take pics, it will just be more candid organic pictures to really capture the moment.
My fiancé and I are very into the moment pictures, in fact we find picture taking during special moments exhausting. However, we want to enjoy our bride/groom pictures and we want to do it that best suited with our preference. I'd love to hear your thoughts, criticism, advice, and experiences. Thank you!
