Using Top Studio rivets for key locks on 1/24 models

I have seen some videos of builders using Top Studio (or any brand) rivets for key locks on car models but not sure what size works best on 1/24 scale. Anyone using them that will say what size they use? I was looking at .4mm but I am not familiar with what would be a good scale representation.
