Can revision allow someone to actually return to a past moment and begin again?
Hello. This is my first post here. I've been lurking a lot over the past half year or so and have learned a lot about revision and affirmations. What I've never found is someone who actually returned to a past moment and begin again from there with the ability to make changes. I would like to know if anyone here has done this or knows of someone who has.
I see a lot of posts saying either that revision literally changes current reality or that it doesn't really but has an emotional impact.
Here's an example. Say someone cheated on their partner a year ago, and that destroyed the relationship. The person moved out and it's over. This individual wants to literally go back in time and make a different decision, starting over from there.
The way I generally see revision interpreted is that the relationship begins to heal and the two get back together. All is forgiven. Or it seems like the problem never happened. The issue I see with this is that if revision truly changed the past, the one who had cheated would wake up and find the partner still living there. The incident never happened.
I would really appreciate not getting responses saying it can't be done. That's all over the place. I'm looking for something more open-minded. If you type "change the past" into a search engine, all you get is "you can't change the past."
Thank you.
