Cold/flu help

It's 4.25am and up with such rotten sinus congestion. I'm only 5 weeks pregnant ( first time) and it's killing me that I can't take my normal cold and flu meds. What have others found helpful ( and safe) to help with cold/flu symptoms when pregnant?

P.s I'm seeing doc friday.
