Am I confused?

Hello f17 here, So I’ve been questioning myself for a while and I wanted to put this out there.

Idk If I find women attractive in an aesthetic way — like I can see a woman and think she’s really pretty or stylish. Because of that, I thought maybe I was into women, so I actually tried dating them. But then, my thoughts aren’t automatically “oh I want to have sex with her” or “oh I want to go out with her”, it’s just “wow she’s fine as hell” or “she’s beautiful”. I don’t know.

But here’s the thing: whenever I tried to date a girl, it just felt like I was hanging out with a friend. Nothing about it felt like a real relationship for me. And when I kissed girls, I didn’t feel anything romantic or sexual — I was just aware that I was kissing a girl. There wasn’t that spark or pull that I feel like I’m supposed to have if I were genuinely attracted.

I realized I never had any actual sexual or romantic love toward women. It just wasn’t there. I think I was confusing aesthetic attraction with real attraction. Looking back, it makes more sense because I do want a boyfriend and I do feel a small tiniest bit drawn to men, but I just don’t get that same feeling for women.

So I guess I’m wondering — does this mean I’m actually aroace and just happen to admire women’s beauty?
