ELI5 Catastrophic brain bleed

I need to know that if a person who is not yet diagnosed with polycythemia Vera jak2 suffers a massive brain bleed, has also been hit hard on the forehead and top of head just hours prior to 911 being called - will the coroner or medical examiner be investigating? (Violent offender did not report assault to medical staff).

I want to know if the patient and/or victim was a registered organ donor but non-viable due to finding PV - would their head be shaved for further investigation, or are heads usually shaved in preparation for cremation?
