My first fancy pen; Sailor Pro Gear "Soul of Chess"
Lately I was starting to realize I was spending an obscene amount of time just looking at fountain pens online. I had a craving for getting a fancy one, from the big 3 japanese brands due to their fine nibs. Si this week I just decided to just go for it instead of continuing to spend hours looking at pens online all the time.
Knowing myself, I figured I'd just go all in and get my ideal pen. Otherwise I'd probably end up still wanting another pen afterwards. So I got this limited edition Sailor Pro Gear "Soul of Chess". Now I am free! (hopefully....)
I always thought that a bit of skipping and hard starts here and there were just an unavoidable reality of fountain pens. All my previous pens had this issue to some extent: Lamy Al Star, Pilot Prera, Twsbi Eco. I even tried a Pilot Custom 74 and Platinum 3776 in stores and they also had a bit of skipping with very light pressure. But this Sailor writes incredibly reliably, without ever skipping, even at the lightest pressure I can manage. I didnt think this would be possible. And I definitely enjoy that feedback too.
Overall, couldn't be happier
