Bit 3 times in a month at ABA, AIO?
My 4 year old is in ABA 5 days a week from 8:30am-4:30pm. There’s another child who’s in the center around the same time who has taken a liking to the taste of my child’s skin apparently and tries to/bites her every time they’re nearby. The staff is aware and has kept them separated pretty successfully since bite #2, but today a fire truck came and visited the center and while transitioning from one room to another, this kid took off after my daughter and bit her in the stomach before they could stop him. The two previous bites were on her upper and lower arm (8/4 and 8/14). This makes bite #3 in just under a month. I’m about at my wits end with this center, but it’s heart breaking because this center has been nothing short of amazing with my daughter the last 7 months since she enrolled. She’s blossomed into a whole new child. I’m scared if I move her to a new center that she’ll either regress or just not meet her potential she’s on track for here. I also love almost all the staff at this center. Ugh. My husband and I are set to tour two other centers (same company) next week and feel them out. I was a little off put by the fact that when I was in the office picking up my daughter early from ABA today (due to my distress more than her’s lol) and the director recommended another center (that I already have a tour with next week), called them back cus they had a missed call, and they then discussed our situation (which is the reason the other center called in the first place). Very awkward.
