I messed up

Been on Loestrin 1/20 for 6mo, I don't stop the 7days, just start a new pack, so 2 weeks into this new pack I stopped for 5days, had a little spotting Sun so decided to get back on(thinking this was my period) but it wasn't, how long do I wait now to have unprotected sex? The whole 7 days, should I have waiting until and actual period? Was i even off long enough for it to matter? Sorry yall, 30 and first time on the pill
