Just got rejected after 8 weeks

Job wanted Autocad experience which I don't have, but I applied anyway kinda speculatively. Some jobs either give training or appreciate that it's easy to move from one CAD programme to another anyway.

So about a week later I'm asked to do a quick screening interview. Cool.

6 weeks later I'm asked to do a 2nd stage interview... Scheduled over a week away.

Interview day: I ask the interviewer what they're looking for, as clearly they are not too bothered about Autocad experience since they wanted to interview me. Interviewer explains CAD isn't that important. Cool!

4 days later: company's recruiter (not the interviewer) contacts me to say they're rejecting me cuz they want someone with Autocad experience.

Over 2 months since my application to reach a conclusion that they would've known in 2 mins of reading my CV
