Did Team Cherry take inspiration from The Dreaming? (SPOILERS)

Today in my theology class we were learning about the indigenous people of Australia and their religion. One primary topic we went over was their mythic creation story called "The Dreaming," in which the "Great Spirit" formed the Earth from nothing through a dream it had. It shared the dream with the creation, but all the animals it was shared between couldn't understand it and kept passing it along. Eventually it reached humanity, who could understand and experience the dream.

The idea of a "higher being" willing nature and form and matter into existence through a dream seems awfully similar to Hollow Knight's idea of higher beings ushering creation in through a dream. I can see this especially in >!Unn and the Pale King!<. >!Both of them had dreams as a higher being and sought to establish that dream.!< >!The Radiance tried to destroy Hallownest (The Pale King's dream) specifically because he was destroying her dream of being worshiped.!<

The huge emphasis on dreams in specific throughout the whole game really nails it down for me. What do y'all think?

Remember that Team Cherry is also based in Australia
