Maxeon max3 vs. max6 panels

I got a quote for panels and I don't understand the difference. Same company is doing my neighbors panels. They offered me Max3 panels and the neighbor Max6 panels for the same price. I feel like I'm being offered lesser quality or previous generation panels, but I don't know enough about them.

Is there a significant difference between them in terms of cost and quality? Am I being taken for a ride?
