Dexamethasone Injection Side Effects (Not long term use)

Hi. 34 years old and Female. Occasional smoker and drinker (once a week)/No medications or health conditions that I know of/First time being sick in a while.

So I have been sick for the past few days with a cough, congestion, body aches, headache, sinus issues, etc. I ended up going to urgent care this morning. Tested negative for Flu/Covid/Strep, have a little fluid in both of my ears, obviously my blood pressure was up from being sick and anxious at the doctor’s office. They said it is a viral infection. They ended up writing me prescriptions to pick up and gave me a steroid shot before I left. It was Dexamethasone which I have never taken before as I really do not get sick. I felt fine for most of the day after that, still sick, but fine. You know? Just more tired, but I also haven’t been sleeping well since getting sick. So about an hour or two ago, I started feeling nauseous and my anxiety went up. Now my heart rate is higher I normally sit at 68-72 and 72-85 while ill. It was 104. And while I feel calmer than I have since that, it’s still high.

Has anyone dealt with this? What side effects have you had? And how did you calm down and how long did it take to go away?
