Had my first real failed video

CONTENT TALK

Not that I'm big or that I have been doing this for long, but over the last month I've experienced a good growth. I went from 250 to almost 600 subs. Growth is different for all of us, I know, but for me this was great.

I make niche videos about dawless music gear. Basically, I make music without a computer.

Over a month ago I "struck gold" by using the Iceberg video format for these dawless devices.

Not that I started adding mystical and rumoured things - I use it as a way to organize information, from beginner to expert.

It was very popular (considering my usual stats).

I followed up with a new one for another piece of gear. That went even better. I achieved 1000 views on the first day, for the first time.

So I went all out. Worked something like 1 week, all day every day, on a new video.

The device is very popular, the video was the longest I ever did. 1 hour.

Thought it would do well, I was very excited.

But no, it bombed.

I'm thinking about what the reasons may be for this.

Is it because it's one hour? Possible. The others were 20 to 30 minutes.

Is it because I've been posting several videos of my songs and that has nowhere near the same interest and the algorithm is punishing me? Could be too.

I'm sad, but not deflated.

I'm already thinking about my next video - I will probably keep it under 30 minutes.

And maybe I'll create another channel just for my music jams and song releases. I've read that the more content, the better, but I'm thinking it may not be like that at all. And it would make sense.

Just a small rant, but if you have any input, I very welcome it.
