CSULB Alpha Kappa Psi worth it?

There’s an old post (9 mo. Ago) on here that suggests the organization is probably ethnocentric, with a majority (if not all) of members being Asian. Also mentions members are racist and transphobic and classist 🙄….

During week of welcome, two students mentioned to me that AKPsi was racist and that they tend to exclude non-Asians from membership/ it’s hard to become a member if you’re not Asian. Is that true?

I’m interested in joining an organization that will help me grow professionally and even personally and where I can network with likeminded, high achieving individuals. I also thought AKPsi wouldn’t hurt my resume, but shelling out my time and $$$ I want to ensure it’s worth it and that I won’t get a headache lol.

TLDR:

• Does AKPsi discriminate against non-Asian prospective members?
• If I join/ pledge ($$$) can they discriminately decide to drop me from membership? (Im not Asian lol)
