Renfe to replace Avlo with AVE trains on Madrid–Barcelona high-speed line

Renfe will phase out Avlo low-cost services on the Madrid–Barcelona corridor from 8 September, switching to AVE S-103 trains after technical issues with Avlo’s S-106 units.

AVE brings back amenities like a cafeteria, quiet coach and premium lounge access. Avlo tickets remain valid.
