Algerian student choosing between France or Germany after Bac

Discussion

I’m 16 and doing the Bac this year in Algeria. Like a lot of Algerian students, I don’t feel confident about our universities preparing us well for the job market. Many graduates struggle to find work in their own field. Because of that, I’m seriously considering continuing my studies abroad once I finish here.

Right now, my two main options are:

France: I already have A2 in French, and I also have many family members there which could make things easier socially and financially. I know France has the Campus France process, and that Algerians historically go there the most.

Germany: I’d have to start German from zero. I know the blocked account is around 11k EUR, which is a big step.

I already have B2 in English

I’m also learning UI/UX design on the side, so I hope to work as a freelancer and support myself. I wouldn’t mind waiting an extra year after the Bac to either save money , learn the targeted language or strengthen my skills before applying.

Other EU countries don’t seem like great options: places like Sweden or Norway are too expensive, Poland isn’t very welcoming, and countries like Lithuania or Czechia are often considered “second tier” choices.

Since this decision affects a lot of Algerians after Bac, I want to know from those with experience: which country is a better long-term path for Algerians in terms of student life, job opportunities, and eventually citizenship—France or Germany?

I appreciate your help and suggestions and if you have any othe destinations that fits my details feel free to write em :)
