Weight gain with SSRIs = weight gain with SNRIs?

Hello! I’d like to know if anyone here has happened to have gained a significant amount of weight on an SSRI (for me it was Prozac and I also tried Zoloft gained 60lbs), stopped their SSRIs, and then tried an SNRI and experienced weight gain again.

Apologies if that was written poorly I hope that makes sense. I gained a significant amount of weight in an incredibly short amount of time after starting SSRIs. Could not for the life of me lose any of the weight. I managed to maintain the same weight for ten years up until these damn meds… My idiot psychiatrist just shrugged her shoulders… anyways, I switched to Wellbutrin and have worked very hard to get my weight down (half way there!). Unfortunately, my anxiety and depression have become a big issue again and my new psychiatrist wants to start me on Pristiq… is this another horrible mistake??
