Should I finish Xenoblade X:DE before Future Redeemed?

For context. I have played XC:DE and XC2 and I completed the story in XC3 yesterday and loved it a lot so naturally I do want to play Future Redeemed.

But I also have been playing X a bit while I was playing through 3 so now I am back to playing X and I'm aware that it is kind of its own thing. 12 hours so far and enjoying it a lot but I am also wanting to finish the entirety of 3.

I know that Future Redeemed is best played after playing all the numbered games and its dlcs but what about X especially with DE that added new story elements? Without spoiling, would I appreciate Future Redeemed more if I finish the entire main story of X? or is the new story added in DE not connected with the main trilogy and Future Redeemed at all?
