How to not get too sad if he doesn’t want another date?
I haven’t dated in years, but recently I started again. And it feels really scary.
I’ve been on two dates with a guy I already like a lot. He’s so nice and sweet, and our conversations flow surprisingly well (which means a lot, since I’m autistic and usually find socializing pretty difficult, lol). Our last date was earlier this week, and I had such a great time (he even kissed me!) Unfortunately, the evening ended quite badly because he got food poisoning.
Since then, I haven’t heard much from him, apart from a short text saying he was feeling better (after I asked). I really hope he wants to see me again and isn’t too embarrassed about how things ended. When I checked in, I even joked “..If you want to see me again, we can avoid seafood haha…” but he hasn’t read that message yet (sent yesterday)
At the same time, I’m trying to prepare myself for the possibility that he won’t want to meet up again. I’m just not used to dating, so my feelings are probably a bit “too big,” haha. If that happens, how do I handle it without getting too sad?
