Wow… what a whirlwind August turned out to be! It was non-stop with outreach, community connections and plenty of exciting plans coming together. I’ve honestly loved every single moment, but I’ve just realised I haven’t been shouting about appointments nearly enough 🙈

So here’s your reminder:
📅 My September appointment calendar is now open!
If you’d like to book in for a cut or style, please get in touch – spaces are already filling up quickly. Appointments are an important part of what keeps Compassionate Cuts sustainable and allow us to keep giving back through free community haircuts and hygiene packs. Every booking with us helps fund kindness in action 💇‍♀️💇‍♂️

☎️ Call/Text: 07783 679715
📧 Email: compassionatecutsnorthdown@gmail.com

If you tried to reach me recently and didn’t hear back, please do reach out again. My inbox and voicemail have been a little temperamental (and apparently decided to clear themselves 🤦🏻‍♀️). I’d never want anyone to feel ignored, so if in doubt – message me again!

🌟 Community Highlights This Month
	•	✂️ I’m joining a local friendship group to offer haircuts – it may only be an hour, but this group is for people in our community who are lonely and often don’t get much interaction with others. I feel really honoured to be invited and can’t wait to share some kindness.
	•	🤝 Meetings with Team Haven and The Long Table to explore how we can work together on exciting community projects.
	•	🕊️ A few lovely trips to Donaghadee, where I’ll be meeting with The Blackbird craft shop about using a space for free community haircuts, plus a planning lunch with a kind supporter to hatch a new idea.

🛍️ Hygiene Kits Update

Tesco delivered a huge bundle of toiletries this morning (thankfully to the door, because I definitely underestimated how heavy 30 sets would be 😅). Thanks to this, we’re on track to complete 30 full toiletry bags – each one going directly to someone who really needs it.

I still need to pick up hairbrushes, moisturiser, and socks to finish them off, but the progress so far is amazing. Every donation, no matter how small, is making a very real difference.

💚 How You Can Help Today
