Any fighting games with sizeable communities here?

So I've always had a budding love for fighting games, but could never express it because it seems this is more of a Japan/China/USA thing.

I'm very into Street Fighter 6 (diamond 1 Chun-Li and Mai co-main) and run into people with SG flags on their profiles semi-regularly on ranked. I'm also aware that there is/was an Smash Bros community that became dormant during COVID.

But how about the other fighting games? I'm very interested to pick them up but if I don't get any opponents on ranked it seems a waste of money.

GG:Strive, UNI2, Rivals of Aether 2, Virtua Fighter, Mortal Kombat - I'm really interested in all of these.

And of course, if there's an SF6 local that I can go to it would be really sick.
