Wild Camp locations close to Birmingham?

Hi all, another question. This time it’s pretty straightforward.

I don’t drive, yet, so I’m looking for some wild camping locations close to Birmingham (inside/bordering West Midlands) to take my son so he can get used to wild camping, as he really wants to give this a try over campsites. Woodland, hills, etc doesn’t matter the only ideal thing is some sort of body of water nearby so I don’t have to carry a multi-day supply.

We did a ”nearly wild” campsite camp in Shropshire, but this was just way too far & remote for us to do again without serious planning/driving. Hoping there’s general areas near the West Midlands people have been too? I’ve seen mention of the Malvern Hills and such before. Anything would be great, doesn’t have to be an exact location of course, just an idea for us to start with.
