Advice on coming out

Advice

Hi im 17 and ftm, ive known for a few months that im trans, and am out at my college and to my boyfriend and close friends. Ive been feeling dysphoria since I was around 13 and came out as nb then tried to ignore what I was feeling and went back to being cis. Ive only just had the courage to find myself again and the support ive had had been amazing and ive never felt more motivated, happy and exited for the rest of my life.

Ive been thinking about coming out to my parents, I think they'll have guessed. I present as masculine have changed my name on all social media they follow me on and theyre the only people left I feel like coming out to. They arnt transphobic at all but not well educated and I dont feel like im in the place to educate them right now while im still settling in, and i know they wouldnt see me as a boy because ive always been their daughter. I know im very privileged to have support and be in a safe place to come out but im still scared.so any advice from people who are out to their families would be so helpful!! Thanks x
