Push
I can see that Connor was just having fun with this one. First of, 10/10 points for creativity on this. I love how both of the verses before (spoiler warning) the EPIC beat switch start off with that 12-14 syllables rhyme sceme with a repeating vowel rhyming. First verse starts with Connor, second starts off with Nic D. Then in both of the verses, each person who started the verse throws the pass to the next and they start going back 'n' bar to bar. Then each verse ends with that seven syllable rhyme scheme where they hold the last syllable a little longer and rhyming the letter "o", very similar rhyme scheme to the 'Buffalo' one. Then, an unexpected beat switch makes this song so much better. The beat before was kinda mid, but that beat switch makes me forget all about it. Connor makes the new chorus by counting up to four. "ONE girl... TWO phones... THREE cars... FOREsight..." Connor afterwards spits some bars with a relatively simple, yet effective rhyme scheme, and heads out. A lot of things to say, and, to be honest, I don't know how to rate this. I'm so impressed by Connor's and Nic's writing aptitude on this, but the song itself isn't as good as 'Dialed In' and 'By My Side', on the other hand though, I feel like it is a song that will grow on me. On my first listen, before the beat switch, I was kind of dissapointed, then I listened to it again and again, and I saw how clever the writing is. So, I'm gonna say it is an 8.5/10, but it might fall or it might go higher for me, I really don't know.
