Need advice

Hi, I’m a 24F who met a 30M during a trip. We went out twice — first on a double date, then just the two of us the second time. He also met me before my departure home. After that, we kept in touch via text. He was the first to initiate after the double date, and now that I’m back home (same country, different region), we’re still texting.

Lately, though, I’ve started having some doubts about his commitment. I already asked him twice if he wanted something more, and both times he said yes. But as time goes on, his replies have started to feel a bit dry and short. One time I asked if we could have a call sometime, and he only answered the next day (after seeing the message the same day I texted him), saying we could organize something.

Now I’m not sure what to do — should I stop texting him, or should I ask him again what he really wants? This is my first time trying to have a serious relationship in my life, being also my first relationship...
