Yamaha YAS 203 and Samsung CU7000 50 universal remote issue with power on/off

When I setup my Yamaha YAS 203 soundbar (with optical connection) in Samsung universal remote control page, I can select my exact model, it passes the power on/off test in the setup, but when I complete the process, only the volume control works, the power on/off commands are not sent simultaneously with the TV on/off commands. I got this soundbar for free and don’t have the remote to put it into “learn” mode, so I’m hoping there is a work around maybe someone has stumbled upon for this situation. I may get an 3.5mm IR bud for Android and use IRpulse app to put it in learn mode, or get a used YAS 203 remote but hoping I can resolve this without. Thanks 🙏
