Cooler Master 240 Atmos vs Noctua NH-U14S for 7800X3D?

Build Question

Hey everyone,

I’m building a system with a Ryzen 7 7800X3D and I’m torn between going with an AIO or a big air cooler. Right now I’m considering the Cooler Master 240 Atmos AIO or the Noctua NH-U14S.

From what I’ve read, the 7800X3D doesn’t run super hot compared to other CPUs, but I still want good temps and low noise for gaming sessions. My case has decent airflow and enough clearance for either option.

Would the 240 Atmos actually provide noticeably better cooling, or is the U14S just as good (with less hassle long-term since it’s air)? Basically — which one would you recommend for this CPU and why?

Thanks in advance!
