Difficulty in keeping eyes still

Hello everyone! 🩷 I'm new to getting lash extensions, today was my second time and I realized it's really difficult for me to keep my eyes from moving while having them applied. Not only am I not able to close my eyes completely while still keeping them relaxed (I think this is just how my eyes are, my mom told me even when I was little they wouldn't be completely closed while sleeping), my eyelids are "fluttering" quite a bit I think.

I tried my best to relax, I avoided coffee today and I wasn't in any particular discomfort, my lash tech has a really gentle hand, but after maybe like an hour of keeping my eyes closed, it felt like my lids got somewhat tired of staying closed and still and started moving so much she had to take a break, there were a couple of minutes in which I couldn't control them, it was like they were shaking. Even after this stopped and I focused on keeping them as still as possible, I knew they were still moving a bit.

Do you have any advice? Is this common? I don't want to be a difficult client, I really love having them, but because of this the application process feels a bit like torture. Sorry if I didn't make myself very clear, English isn't my first language, I'm not from the US/UK 🎀
