Early production/concept versions you think would’ve been better? (or at least find intriguing)

I was listening to a Star Wars podcast the other day and they put in an old interview the George Lucas about his ideas for the force. In his own words he said that anyone could do it/learn how to use the Force, you just had to practice. He likened it to learning karate or doing yoga. Now this was in the early-mid 90’s, when he was doing early drafts of the prequels, so it’s interesting to think about how different the franchise could be if that the version that stuck around.
